I had my 2009 R3 Touring in for 10K service today and they changed the spark plugs. The owners manual calls for an NGKDPR8EA-9 but they installed NGKDPR7EA-9 plugs claiming that is what their manuals call for. Both the service manual and owners manual call for the colder NGKDPR8EA-9. Will the hotter plug cause problems and why would the dealer claim the NGKDPR7EA-9 is the correct plug?

Thanks for the replies. I guess the plug heat range is not that critical in the R3 since they are running both the NGKDPR7EA-9 and NGKDPR8EA-9 in it. I didn't think to ask why they changed them out at 10K or what condition they were in as I didn't realize till I checked the manual that the normal change is at 30K.
