corbin young guns seat anyone?

Well you answered that. Still, I'm growing fond of these Young Guns seats with the patterns. What about personal stitching? Price for these bun huggers is acceptable enough. Let's see a pic of yours!
Well, at the time I ordered mine there was piping as an option and choice of color for the seam stitching. I went with no piping, adult alligator for the seating, snake for the middle trim and baby alligator for the rear. I like the ostrich pattern too, just thought it might not hold up too well as a seating surface. It's a stamped pattern and worried about it flattening.
There are photos of mine in my album. It also turned out to look exactly like the R3.com ad that shares space with flips at the top of the web page.

That really does look choice on your scooter. Love the line. I think you've convinced me.

I'm going to lower the saddle bags a little like whats-his-whoosit (forgot the name) did, that should show the seat off a little more.
And if anyone is "inseam challenged", the Young Guns lowers your butt as well. I like the feeling of sitting "down-in" the bike more.

I asked Corbin to scoop at least a 1/2" out of the seat when I ordered it,
Oh, you already ordered one? What patterns did you pick?

The seat does have one problem quirk I didn't mention .... the seat holds a puddle of water after a rain. But the leather doesn't absorb any, just wipe it away.

Oh, I thought you were in the market for one.

While on the topic, how long did you take to feel like it was "broken in" and left it on all the time? I switched back and forth between the stock, gel and Corbin for about 4500 miles getting used to the firmness. I was also swapping out for the gell when the wife was going on a trip with me because the shape back there isn't good for long trips.
Once I got her one of those Butty Buddy chick chairs, I sold the gel and didn't take the Corbin off again. I'm loving the firmness now, especially for long trips ... and Deb LOVES her Butty Buddy. :)

I know what you mean about "sitting down into the bike", that is precisely why I got the very similar High End custom seat for my VTX; I like it low. My only real complaint with the R3 (besides all the cheap crap I'm getting rid of) is the high ride. My inseam is around 30" so I suppose I'm "challenged" in that regard. Don't particularly fancy cartin' my 285+ pounds so high off terra firma. **** near dropped the friggin bike stopped at a low right side turn a few months back because of its awkward height (for me). Lowered suspension and a deeper seat are definite musts for this old boy!:D

Then you would probably enjoy the Young Guns Saddle quite a bit, maybe even have that extra 1/2 inch shaved off like the Scot did. I've got a 36" inseam and my knees are bent a good 15-20 degrees sitting flat footed on the ground. I particularly like the narrower front and the "saddle horn"-like part that goes against the tank. While the high back keeps me from sliding back taking off, the high front keeps me off the tank during stops.

Man, a scooped out saddle and 11" rear shocks would set the bike right down where you could practically walk over it. LOL
Dropping the rear and the low seat might make the front end look like a chopper. :D

There could be an issue with the handle bars if you have shorter arms as well. Mine were a tad high with the Corbin so I loosened the clamps and dropped 'em some while pulling back at the same time. I got them set right at the point where the grips are at their furthest point back, that has the bars almost touching the tank at the turn stops.

Cool. Just made up a protein shake and did a coupla sets for my aching back. Back is always an issue with me as I've injured it in competition and have had surgery in the lumbar area. Surprisingly, motorcycle riding on a deep saddle seems to be therapeutic, which is nice, but tall bikes suck. My arms are not relatively short; average for my 5'11" height I'd wager. My legs are proportionately shorter; longer torso.

Yeah, 11" shocks I'll investigate. Like the look of Ohlins quite a bit.

Regarding your very appealing Young Guns; what is your take on the backrest accessory offered? Kinda breaks up the sleek line created by this saddle, but I've never ridden with a back rest and wonder if it's worth adding to the package. I trust they are removable?
