I have been hesitant to get one because I didn’t like the Corbin seat on my Harley Streetglide, but I did it anyway. The seat arrived today. Looks great. Good position. But, I can’t get the latch to hook in place. I tried adjusting the forward movement but the pin is right over the latch. It will go in but probably not far enough. The instructions say that the rubber stops need to be broken in. How do you do that when the seat won’t attach? Anyone have a solution? I called Corbin but got their voicemail. Also, are you supposed to remove the metal side pieces from the stock seat and attach them to the Corbin seat? Thanks in advance.

Turn the key while putting the seat on. I have the same seat. Sometimes it goes on easily, most often need to use the key.
The side rails do not fit this seat.

Corbin is done with customers after the sale. Good product (most often) lousy company.

I have had similar problems in the past, and have used a washers under the pin mountings to lower it slightly until the rubbers soften - then take them out when the seat becomes looser ?

I ended up smacking the seat, per the Corbin instructions, and it worked. Unfortunately, while the seat is comfortable, especially the back support, for the first time ever I did not enjoy riding my Rocket. I think it may be a height issue because the Corbin seat is almost two inches higher than the stock seat. So I was leaning over just enough to cause my shoulders to ache. Can't send it back (good 'ol Corbin customer service) so it's now back in its box on a shelf. An expensive trial...

Sorry it did not work for you. I find it to be very comfortable.
List it for sale.

Put 2" risers to compensate. It is like 1.5h of work (or less with 2 people).
