coolant hose blowout

bike was just in the shop and mechanic mentioned topped off on coolant as was low. Started the bike yesterday and let it run for a little while to warm up. After a few minutes heard liquid spewing looked down and the coolant was pouring out- shut off bike and had it towed to dealership. Hopefully nothing major maybe just a hose kit needing replaced

He overfilled it. You are looking at the overflow hose coming off the coolant overflow bottle

Those are overflow/vent hoses. Take it from someone who just had a coolant line burst... you're fine.

thanks fellas my anxiety is lowered; i never noticed these hoses before and couldn't find where they went to makes sense these are countermeasures to prevent too much coolant. Will have them check the battery while it is there; sounds like it is starting to strain on start

perhaps your rad cap needs replacement, might explain why it lost fluid before and had to be topped up, and then lost more after topping up

+1 My radiator cap went faulty two months ago and had to be replaced.
