I got to see one up close a couple of weeks ago at Cycle Barn's dyno day. I also sat on the bike. I can recall the gent's screen name but he posted one in Wingandaprayer's thread on the ride he and mitchpc took over the mountain. It was a full size gray tint. Very nice. I am holding off on any upgrades to the Rocket until I know it can be straightened out.
Come to think of it, I think Gr3ywolf also has one. He stayed over with us in Florida on his way to Daytona Bike Week.
I have been tempted to make the fitting kits for the after-market shields for the Rockets, bear in mind you will still need the fixing kit from Triumph. All I am talking about is the hardware that comes on the windscreen itself that attaches to the fixing kit and windshield. I'll check into chroming them here locally or even getting them powder-coated at the shop across from the street from work. All this is contingent on there being an interest in it, so let me know. I'm already set-up to make them, I'll just have to order materials and get started.
Yea Cad, I'm definetly interested. I've held off on buying a shield cause I was hoping to find a used one somewhere. Seen a couple on e-bay w/o the hardware, which means I'd still have to buy 1 from triumph at $500.00 for the hardware. Count me in. But you might consider making some quick release hardware for the classic shield, I'm sure there's a market for that little accessory...xhdskip
Mike, I have the Clearview on my bike, the one you rode. Regarding the AIR VENT, the air flow gets broken up before it ever reaches me, so I don't get any real "in my face" cooling effect, but like RocketRiderMan said, it does break up the vacuum.

I thought you had John but just couldn't recall. Now that my Rocket is finally fixed, it is one of the accessories I am going to order, the other being Progressive 440 shocks.
Actually, we might see if the shop in Reno would give us a discount. Jim Harvey purchased his Rocket there and they gave him a good deal. He has the Progressives on his and I'll be talking to Jim tomorrow. I'll ask him about it and call the shop.
On Cycle Barn, they seem to be a straight MSRP shop, though they did give me good prices on my tires.

I also want the mounting hardware and have not been able to find it. The clearview windshield can be had for $200 with gray tint, but I cannot find mounting hardware anywhere (save for the OEM $500.00 package).
Anyway, If you go making some up, I'd buy a set for sure, and I would imagine that you would become quite popular with others. This seems to be a common problem.
