Clearview Screen Shipping

Guys

Sent a message to Clearview requesting shipping costs for a screen to Queensland Australia, below is their reply:

Hello Peter,
I do not have good news on the shipping to Australia......the shipping would be $435 by the Post Office. UPS would even be higher.

For some reason Australia has smaller box size limits for standard shipping rates than other countries.....and the box size for this shield is over the size limit so it would have to ship Global Express Guaranteed.

Sorry I did not have better news.

Just wondering if any other Oz riders had purchased a Clearview and what they used for shipping, $435 makes the Clearview prohibitively expensive; unless there is another option it looks like I am stuck with the OEM screen!

Btw, I have just purchased from MADSS a summer screen, lower wind deflectors and footboards, they will combine the shipping and quoted $65-$75.

In light of the MADDS shipping the Clearview quote appears to be a little excessive, what do you guys think?

I bought a windshield in Aussie [Adelaide] from Lofty Bob and I think the shipping was $60 aus. It was the roadster screen. Sound slike somethings a bit off. I have other things shipped from Aussie as well and find the shipping cheaper than the US. I live in western Canada-- B.C.

You might check out Cee Bailey windscreens ... they make aircraft windshields and have a custom bike screen shop on the side. I figgured if it's good enough for a cessna, it's good enough for me.
