My 250hp bike fouls up plugs pretty quickly, so I have resorted to cleaning them more often. I do this with a propane gas torch.
Just thought I would share

I have found that if you strike an arc on the object you are attempting to weld instead of the pliers holding said object your pliers will suffer significantly less damage. Just sayin.
That is really cool idea, how long do you torch them for?
So when you start putting more power to your Rocket your spark plugs will clog up faster?
I was just thinking that when I did all my upgrades in Seattle about in 2010 I got high performance spark plugs and still have not cleaned them my Rocket still seams to run good, do I need to clean them?even though my Rocket seems to be running fine?
The only thing I did notice that my bike doesn’t seem as good in gas mileage?

I clean them when the bike starts to run rough, heat the end of the plug till is cherry red and you can’t see any carbon left,
This plug fouling issue is just on my 250hp rocket and my 232hp Rocket does not have the same issue - I’ve never really heard of this happening before
So has long as my bike is running fine I don’t need to clean the spark plugs? What mys a bike stop getting the same gas mileage? even though my Rocket seems to be running good it seems to be burning more gas not getting the same gas mileage as I was?
Yes throttle control, but I’m just talking every day riding I always plamed it on the Canadian gas is not as good lol I tell you on adverage I got 33 miles per gallon now being in Canada I get 30,
Could that because my spark plugs could be dirty?
If the plugs are building carbon, the combustion chamber probably is too. An old mechanic taught me to spray a little water in the intake to clean the carbon out. Rev the motor a little, then spray a little water until the motor stumbles, then watch the black smoke blow out of the exhaust. Repeat until the smoke turns white. It might be worth a try.
