Hi all
I'm still trying to make my roadster more comfortable for her on the back, as even with Hagons the bike still kicks hard over bumps through the standard pillion seat. Triumph dealer Jack Lilley in England says Triumph list the Classic seat as fitting the Roadster, but he had no dimensions or knowledge of its comfiness. It's a one-piece dualseat . it's not mentioned on the new Triumph website accessory list for the Roadster however.
Anyone have one, does it fit, and is it any comfier? Alternative is to get a custom seat made locally.

cheers

My wife enjoyed the Classic Seat when she could ride. I have since sold it since she can't ride anymore, but the passenger seat is much better shaped for a butt than the stock Rocket or Roadster pad... It will go right on a Roadster. The Roadster seat seems really tall, so the rider in the Classic seat will sit quite a bit lower..

I don't see any reason for it not to fit. i've got a dual tour seat with rider backrest fitted to my 08 classic an the missus likes it.Where are you? if we're close don't mind you tryin mine to see if it fits.

Just to add my experience about the comfort, I really like the Classic seat and it's a huge improvement for the passenger. Some people don't like them but for me it's great. The passenger seat is relatively wide and flat, so it's also much better for sitting a bag on too. I weigh about 80 kgs, by the way. I think if you're bigger than that it's not so comfy.

I use a Mustang passenger pad designed for a 03 Honda VTX 1800. I put the Rocket passenger bracket on it. It was not too much of a hassle to fit. My wife finds it really comfy.

Yes it will fit you just need the rear mount plate that bolts to the rear fender just behind the battery.

Thanks guys. some hope then!
Kipper - I'm in Blairgowrie , just north of Perth, bike's still on the road too so maybe I could take you up on your offer , or a look at your bike anyway to see what your seat is like? Can you send me a message via this site?

cheers
