Cheap HID Headlight conversion

Some of these prices giving me a near heart attack

Heard a rumor Philips is making a new type of bulb,
It would make bikes more visible due to orange light at an angle, and 20% more white light in front of the bike.

So, you buy 2 for the Rocket? One high and one low beam?
If you have a single headlight bike like my Vic' I guess you buy the low beam. How does that compare to the conventional high beam?
I wonder if it irritates oncoming traffic if your light is bright and you don't/can't dim it? Or does proper aim take care of that?
This does intrigue me. The more light the better, I figure.

low beam only,

A bit both, more light and correct angle
A different color may also help (more blue or yellow, orange etc)

The trick is to get more light for you to see stuff without bothering oncoming traffic.

I did nothing so far my lights are still stock
I do find the low beam headlight inadequate, its angle is to low.
