I called Carpenter awhile back and asked about baffling. They (Art?) told me some folks are using the Brocks' "Street Meg" baffle. Called Brocks and was quoted a little over a $100 for the baffle and end plate. They sound pretty good on the smaller displacement bikes (check YouTube), so should sound even deeper in tone on the Rocket. Brocks also sells a DB reducer which tones it down further for riding with others.
This will probably make you run to the CES pipe but check out my other vid, on you tube, 'the angry beast R3 '. I would put it up here but dont know how. The engine has been seriously modded but remains naturally aspirated.
IMHO - The Carp Brutes are fine and perhaps provide a little more HP on a stock engine than CES; however, the CES are better built, fitting and looking.
In my humble opinion!
My opinion differs. While CES looks good, I prefer the mean hotrod look and sound of the Brute pipe. And no matter what anyone says about it being loud, I've been in a loud pipe contest that was measured with a dB meter, and the Brute was only 112db while all of the open pipe HDs were 118-122db.
But either will get you a big performance gain with a good intake, and tune.

@Steel...thanks for your reply.
One of the best things about this forum is we can have differences of opinion instead of arguments unlike many other forums.

No reason to argue. There are a few good options, it all comes down to different tastes. No reason everyone should have identical bikes. How boring would that be.

They are very well made. I just prefer the look, and sound of the Brute pipe.
