I like the look of the ces headers and have read good things on here about them.
Whats the latest on fitment aroind the brake reservoir? I have an 06 with the pegs a bit more forward.

They fit like a well tailored suite, just right. Mine seal better to the head than my stockers, which were a pain in the ass to get sealed up on cylinde #2, CES deal every time.

It does come close to the rear brake reservoir but no issues have developed from it.

I just fitted mine and the pipes touch the reservoir. It will have to be shimmed out and the stock cover modified to add some heat protection. I uploaded a new map and did a 12 minute tune, and that was enough heat to distort the plastic reservoir. I think it will have to be moved a minimum of 10mm further out. The hose to the master cylinder looks to be too short, so I don't know if that has to be changed or not. I haven't finished this mod yet as my Rocket is at the dealership getting the valves set.

Was unaware people had figment issues ever with CES. You could just skip a few washers in as a easy fix :)

I love the CES, very livable volume and tone as a daily.

I have a standard Rocket so my pegs are more forward than a Roadster. The reservoir is sitting right next to the fat part of the collector, not behind it. The pipes are so close to the reservoir that the stock chrome cover can't be put back without modification.

What option did you go for muffler? Baffled and packed?

I have the larger rear section, 2.25 OD instead of 2, a 6” longer than standard muffler, packed.

Next the @1olbull the bikes had exactly the same tone and sound, but his was a bit louder, as has the shorter standard muffler.

I highly recommend the 2.25 vs the 2” rear section, especially if you ever intend more power down the road.

Amigo, Why?

I think 2” is too small for a turbo/SC/head+cam rocket.

I am firmly a believer that the 2” rear section is only suited to a stock motor or slushy street cam bike, after that it will be the biggest choke point.

2” flows about 318 cfm without causing a significant restriction. Each HP want 2.1 CFM of flow so 3-8/2.1= 151.5 hp. Not so Coincidentally a bunch of rockets with CES make +\- 5hp of that.

I strongly believe a 3” rear section and collector outlet is what should be used on 240+ bikes, but there isn’t one available for obvious (packaging) reasons.

I’ll bet anyone a beer the 2” primary 2.5” collector into a megaphone setup I’ve got coming will outperform the carpenter pipe, the collector is a shallower angle and the angles are better.

By rear section, you refer to from end of collector rear, correct?
