Ceramic coating companies ?

+1
I didn't know Sam use Jet Hot.
Mine look the same after 10+ years. Chromex with black heat shields, I nice combination.

Looks like Jet-Hot is a popular recommendation. I also have a local guy that I am waiting a quote, but price seems pretty fair. What do you think about ceramic coating the exhaust of the new rocket 3, without the shields, to later reinstall the shields? I am thinking to do that to keep them low in the heat department, but also, for looks as I expect the exhaust behind the shields to start loosing color as the time goes by, but I dont want to change the look of the bike.... maybe I should send them first the exhaust of my crf to get a better idea if I like that before going with the one from the rocket....

Very happy with this. IMG_1318.JPG Procoat OKC. They also coated the inside.

Never did. This exhaust is an aftermarket. Pauls or Viking exhaust for a 2015 Rocket X. Ok i will spell it out right here my friend. Jet hot is a joke. You go with the aluminum finish you get heat protection. Any color coat kiss the heat protection good by. The color coat will not be applied by company if your asking for heat protection. Yes they offer a high heat coating but that is just by heat rating. Will not Cool of the exterior heat from pipes. Yes they advertise differently but when you get down to brass tacks they back out. Plus the do not coat the interior of the pipes. No i do not require a heat shield. Paul's exhaust original size is really close fit to the engine. Never had a issue even after 68,000 miles. Got the pipes recoated because of cosmetic not heat. Where do they find these folks?

You can touch mine from jet hot and not have a blister, try that with ceramic. How is something a joke when hot rodders have been using them for decades? You can grab the extreme 3500 dont try that with ceramic or powder whatever it is. Facts

Fact is it does nothing for cutting down on the heat from your pipes. The 3500 coating is just for the heat rating the pipes will take before the coating will come off. Yes the real hot rodders know this and coat with this stuff. Of course most of them are running turbos or better. For a bike it is a scam. If my pipes ever ran that hot the bike would be toast . It is a joke. You bought Their bull. I do my homework and ask the right questions before the purchase not in to the latest flash in the pan bull. You ask the company the right questions and they will tell you straight up the aluminum coating isn the only coating they sell which will cut down the heat on the outside of the pipes. No color options provided.

One thing that the company did mention and I believe them is that the 3500 coating is very durable. Will outlast most ceramic coatings and take a good amount of beating up. Do not get me wrong Jet Hot is a good company. They have very fine products. Just their advertising is a bit decieving but their salesman are honest. I am betting their aluminum coating is the best on the market and Provides better heat protection than what I ended up with. Compromised between function and looks. I asked at ProCoat how long will the coating last. The gentlemen told me straight up that ceramic coatings are not as durable as powder coating and expect about three years.
