Hi Guys,

I would like to black out my 2020 R3 R and I am thinking to do it by my self. I've found that Cerakote paint but I see for 1200 degrees (C Series) and 1800 degrees (V Series). The last one it is supposed to be oven cured. I don't have an oven big enough to get my headers inside, so that is why I am thinking on the air cured, but I am not sure how hot the header can get. Do you have any idea or experience paining with this air cured the headers?

I would think that at summer temperature where cooling is less efficient and higher rpms riding should be double that.

Yeah you are right. I want also to make a test this weekend when I could affix the probe on a position where I can also accelerate the engine and see what happens.

Is not Cerakote a ceramic coating?

That looks awesome.....
Here's a link to where I had mine done. ( Ceramic Header & Exhaust Coating | Jet-Hot ) They coat both inside and out and apply any color of your choice. Cerakote is more of a durable, decorative coating, while ceramic coatings are designed for heat resistance and insulation.
