Hi fellas!

Just wanted to ask those captains who are using or have experience with this exhaust system (i'm assuming the Brute exhaust is the 3 into 1 megaphone exhaust that Carpenter Racing makes).

* does it deliver better bhp than the Jardines full system?

* how does it sound in comparison to the Jardines?
- volume
- tone
- at idle, cruise and TWO.

I'm seriously considering changing my Jardines to the Carpenter Brute when I do my 240 upgrade with Carpenter but want to know if the extra $1200 should be spent.

Thank you! .

Hey Beast one thing for sure is if your doing the Carpenter Kit then you will need a 2 id free flowing exhaist to get the full HP out of her. That being said I have two bikes one withthe Carpenter Pipe (and 3 inch Baffel) and one with the Jardines. I love the sound of both. At times I think the jardine is a lower tone at idle but I think its just hearing on both sides verses single side. When you crack her the Jardine is raspier verses the deap growl coming from the baffeld megaphone.

The Carpenter pipe without the baffel is loud and sounds great but it depeds on law enforcement as to whether your going to get away with running it without a baffel. When you crack her open without it makes Gabriels Trumpet sound quiet.

Hope this helps.

Warp - couple of questions:

1. What baffle are you using? (make, model, part #)

2. Are you using any heat shields? If so, which ones? (make, model, part #)

Carpenter can and does supply the same baffel at the same price I got it at.

Heat shields are Cobra's which they now supply also or you can order your own.

Warp, what rear tire are you running? I don't recognize it!
its a shinko 005 advanced 240/40/VR18

I am not sure if I will get 5000 miles out of it but at 157 bucks its not bad.

My Bike eats tires:D
Next I will see how the Bridgestone Exedra Max holds up to the HP

Hpe this helps.

That is definitely VERY helpful.. Thank you, Warp.

This line of yours sealed it for me. ☺ I'm getting the BRUTE as well.

But I do have a question for you. Your bike is totally wicked. Power wise is over the moon. What do you do about the handling and braking department? Do we have options for shock and fork modifications? As well as tired and brakes? Thanks!!!

I use Hagons and YSS shocks of different lengths depending on what my riding plans are. Still have stock OEM springs and breaks. Someday I will change the springs but for now they are doing ok. As for tires you are limited unless you buy Carbon fiber rims or find a machinist that will enlarge your OEM rim. As for tires I would say the bridgestone is the best 16 inch one I have seen. as for 18 inch I am still trying different brands.

Hi Warp. Thanks for all your imput. I have been chasing a good performing 3 into 1 exhaust for my 06 Classic. Mine is not Supercharged, only minor changes like triple K&N's, Tuneboy, Staintunes. In your opinion would this exhaust system be a noticeable upgrade or is it overkill and more suited for higher performance engines. Cheers.

do it

Hey scorp, dunno if warp missed yor post but......i have a mate with a non-modified rocket. He has ordered a brute coz he can run it now, with min tuning, lonely but NOISEY 140hp+ lol plus he likes the look and it has a 2 inch diameter, so in the future he can build his engine up and he wont have to get another exhaust. thats his train of thought. It will soon have the mandatory Beartrap [half a claw] 3x KnNs, de-sec'd,PC.....ect.After a lot of hummin/harrin i have ordered one as well.Like many others, i have waited anxiously to see Ponters/Nevs/Ricks exhaust. It makes sense to me to buy an exceptional product that is made locally than to scource one from O/S.However,i dont want to mix and match, so its Carpenter stage 2/carpenter brute combo for me.Bob tunes with his own pipe, not someone elses.I'm hopeing he will share some of his tuning secrets with me.I mean absolutely no disrespect to Ponters or Nev,and believe that just with Nevs involvement, such is his reputation, their product will be among the finest available.2 things swayed my decision to go Carp. My personal preference is 2 i.d. and i want it NOW.I have had my bike on hold for so long, it aint funny.Ive had the $ to finish it 3x now and each time,we/SHE has grabbed it, sh!t i hope she dont see this LoL. So this week, i have ordered/bought all the xtra bits needed, even a new Arai helmet and leathers. After all the bits are in it,she's off to my Dyno-guy.After a run in period,i will post 2nd dyno results.
