Carpal Tunnel Surgery

Had endoscopic release on both hands 7 Dec. Rode before FLHP before New Year and noticed clutch strength/stamina was lacking after about 1 hr. I could still ride, just knew was not in same place I was on 6 Dec. Fully functional at this time with exception of using hand to push up if I am on floor.

Just FYU, If you get both done, be sure you have a very good, trustworthy helper or be sure to take pain pills for 2-3 days to bind you up. I might take a few days before you can sanitize your gluteus maximus solo.

Lol... the surgeon said he would do both if I could find someone to wipe my .....

Even after 30 years of marriage that’s one bridge I won’t cross..

I think it will be about 3 weeks apart.

That eases my concern. It’s funny, I’m not at all worried about the process of the surgery. I’m even gettin it done awake under local freezing instead of getting out under. I was just concerned about squeezing the clutch...

Good luck, let us know how you make out, I need it done also!!
You can always rehab by doing the five knuckle shuffle over and over again!! Unless that’s what got you their in the first place!!! Lol

Just do the exercises they give you, that is one on the most important things to do post op, especially if it is your clutch side. That is where you will notice the weakness, pulling in the clutch lever. Once you get it back it isn't too bad, like if at a light for a short time.

Good advice from your surgeon...Three to four weeks apart is good. I did my second one at about 4 weeks. No problem

Both at the same time and chose a local anaesthetic so I could make sure the surgeon did a good job !
Done with keyhole and fascinating to watch on the large screen tv . Altho my Mrs would of happily done everything for me , you tend to find an inner strength at the thought of your beloved having to wipe yer arse , so even that was manageable . 2 weeks and bar press ups or punching , back to normal if just a tad stiff .
