With the K&N filter, should I be doing somthing with area from which the filter draws its air? Seems like that area under the seat is awfully constricted. I also have an aftermarket seat...the Corbin Dual.
The undertank filter is K&N # RU-5111
Basically you remove the snorkel tube and plastic housing that connects the stock air filter (underseat) cavity with the undertank tubing that goes to the airbox on the side. Then fix the RU5111 undertank and there you go.
I know, my descriptions are a tad cryptic. Pics are worth more in this example. I don't have any but there are threads around that detail this mod.
Bearclaw won't fit w/o extending some of the bolts. But looks just as cool, is "stealth" and you don't have to worry about some douchebag with a Honda Civic and fart tube muffler pulling off one of the filters for his "race car"
