I agree, Mac, though I will say that I'm not as high on the Windvest for our r3s looks-wise, as I was on my VTX 1800C. it just suited the lines of that other bike better, IMO, of course that is purely a subjective matter/personal taste.
Frankly, Triumph's flyscreen does about the same job for me on my R3, at 5'10" tall, than the Windvest did on my Honda, i.e. , it reduces most of the wind load on my body and face allowing some buffeting from my forehead on up.
