Bugger this....

Nice work on Wilbers suspension.
I replaced my shocks and forks with RaceTech G3S custom equipment due to a local dealer being nearby my home.
It behaves like a heavy sports bike, whilst giving comfort to all my rebuilt/replaced human bits.
The inventment in upgraded suspension (regardless of the brand), has possibly been the best money I've spent on bike performance.
It was great to have the rear shocks replaced, but when the forks were also given the full treatment, it took it up a few levels.

Just received the Progressive fork springs today so my good friend has offered to put them in for me...he is a member on this forum...and a real good bugger as well so i can count myself fortunate...a couple of bottles of something delicious should please him...
Just waiting on the Wilbers now...xmas and all...

Tal,
Hope you heal up well and fast.
I have the 642s nightlines, great shocks. If you feel they’re too sporty when you get them on don’t be disheartened, swapping spring down one step in term of spring rate has worked wonders for some captains who wanted more plush less sport but still sporty. It can be done at home easily and springs aren’t very expensive. Ponters switched only one shock side so he got basically a 1/2 rate down from original and loved it.
Wilber’s are fantastic but I’d not call them Cadillac smooth if you know what I mean, they’re still firm, but in a good way. Despite being firmer than stock, my kidneys no longer feel like I just got punched over expansion joints.
I suggest test as delivered, they’re preset for sag and damping. The adjuster makes a big difference, so try all the way soft and all the way hard so you can feel the range, it’s quite broad.
I set mine middle of range on primary knob and it fits my weight perfectly, super low damping on high speed compression and lots of damping on low speed. Soaks sharp bump smoothly, and grips like a gecko on smooth tarmac.

BUGGER.

After a rough couple of days in Hospital following my 880km trip last weekend, I thought "Bugger this" so i have placed an order for new Wilber rear shocks. It took a severe bashing of my body over very rough Tar sealed roads to make up my mind. I couldn't make up my mind which way to go as the price makes one think, but an old friend of mine said "Ok, imagine all these different shocks are the same price....now decide which ones you would choose"...immediately I said wilbers...so, its done....
