Bringing the front tire up.

stands up under decent acceleration off the mark, can push it high like a honeymooners *****but gotta keep the juice to it to avoid the big bang syndrome on landing

zquote="RocketRoger, post: 231575, member: 4932"]I was born and raised in Bloomington Il. "Land of lakes" and hopefully still good roads for a Rocket ride. Enjoy!

Never had a blow out on a motor cycle. Wondering how common blows are?
On the other hand I may not want to know

Never had a blow out.[/quote]
I am just southwest of Peoria out in the boonies by Sandridge State Forrest.
Yes Blowouts suck. I like to avoid them. Unfortunaley the farm roads have crap on them that drops off a tractors and farm equipment like disc's every now and then.

I have the same problem. the back tire just breaks loose. Unless I have "traction" with me, that's my nickname for my wife... If she is on the bike then lifting the front wheel through the intersection is not an issue... So if you have a hard time getting it up,blame it on your wife, er I mean "traction"...

Wow, you just quoted a four year old post. I wish I was still 62. Oh, the R3T had a single seat then as it does not. Wife would rather jump out of a plane without a parachute than get on a motorcycle. Funny since she had her own when we met.

Cut my teeth on trail bikes (Can-ams, Mako's etc) back in the 70's..used to race a bit..have the scars (collapsed lung, broken back..etc...LOL) to show for it....then went to street racing/drags...ET's....80's......pretty much can pull the wheels on almost anything made...when I had a bit more reaction time could run thru the gears on a number of bikes on the rear wheel.....with age comes smarts (my wife will disagree)...first whell stand with the rocket was just a throttle grab and no wheel spin....bit of a surprise but smooth enough.....the ones after that were more rear wheel burn as the torque on these bikes is so fast to the rear wheel, any tar snake or grease on the road/tire and the whell brakes out fast...a bit scary with a bike of this size....fighting the front end back if your pulling too hard takes a bit more ass and in my older years...reaction time is not what it used to be...LOL....did run into a pack ride coming back from Roar (Erie PA) who were wallowing around 40 MPH in a 55 single lane......found at 40 MPH I can do wheel hop wheelies to let them know I would lke to slide on past after 25 miles of riding in 3rd gear.

All this to get the front wheel off the ground.....just get a unicycle and then you won't have to worry about the front wheel....

I had a blow out with a near new exedra max comming home from cairns last year .i was travelling at 100 kph at about 11pm .it was different ,the tyre deflated very quickly ,on close examining of the tyre I had a 6 mm split in it.
