Excedra Max

I installed the Excedra Max tires front and rear on my R3T. The cost from Bike Bandit was $276 USD shipped. They handle, track, and stop much better than the Metzelers.

I just do not understand the problem some have with the stock Metzlers. I have found them to be great and wear as well as any other MC tires I've used on many bikes over the years. I often think we just have to f**k with **** because we can !
If Avons or Michelins or whatever came stock, someone would say.."Oh no"..they are crap.
 

Your smeller is off a bit Zen.
I get twice the mileage with the Exedra Max as the Metz and Avon and Shinko. I don't count the Conti Race attack as is is a soft race compound so I figured it would wear faster and stick better. Abusing all of them the same. Not sure why it must be the tire. The only thing I do different withthe Exedra is I now have been doing some deliberate Burn outs where I did not do this to the other tires. I think its because I am now used to the Horse Power so I play harder now.
 

It's not a small different at all . I am getting at least 30 percent more wear handling to me seems as good if not a little better through the twisties I pay a little over half the price fitted for a excedra max than a Metz or Avon .. If you have not tried a exedra max give it a go you may change your mind .
 
I got 4,800 km out of Metz, 6,500 out of Avon Cobra and 10,000 km from Exedra Max. I would attribute some the improvement with the Exedra to the higher profile because,as I noted elsewhere, the slightly taller gearing makes it a little less likely to break away on hard acceleration - you know, those inadvertent wheel spins that help rip up the tyres. But they also seem to be inherently harder wearing. They're also flatter than the othe 2 so I'm if find they wear far more evenly across the full width and less down the middle.

Zen, if you don't like it don't use it but i can assure you that as far as I'm concerned the improvement is real and noticeable.
 
Yep im loving the exedra max on the back i changed mine out premiturely though i was at about 7500k and im sure i could have got ten out of it if i had left it on. I was sceptical of these figures at first when Canberra posted them but now im a believer this one will stay on longer i just replaced front and rear at the same time along with my front wheel bearings which needed doing . Running my first Avon Cobra up front now also after only ever running metz so looking forward to testing her out
 

OK..I give up! The Exedra is supoerior! One thing, however, that I really don't want is the higher profile. I can JUST ABOUT be flat footed with the Metz. An inch higher and it will be tippeytoes at the stoplights!

How tall are you? i'm 5'4" and have no problem at all, of course the 1"thick boots help me a bunch
 
The Max raises the rear 0.47" over stock. One can always put on shorter shocks to compensate.

Zen the tire diameter is only .940" taller so the rise in the bike is half that .470" just under 1/2 inch. You won't hardly notice it.
