I have been riding bikes since 1977 and thought I had found my niche with a Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic. Had that for 4 years, but even after tweaking, the performance was uninspiring and the brakes were shocking. Visited my local Triumph Dealership and was made an offer I couldn't refuse... and brand new Touring with £2000 of extras for exactly half the price of a new Ultra. Last week saw the delivery of my new bike in black.

I still have a Harley Sportster to ease me away from the brand.

You may need easing away from HD but only until you start riding your Rocket. That Sportster will be covered in dust in no time. Welcome to a very interesting and inspiring fraternity.

Easing away from the HD won't be a problem after your first R3 ride. After that you will need a pry bar to "ease" you off the Rocket.

Congrats

Welcome from Ohio. the land of lake effect weather and flying rockets. After getting acclimated to the Rocket dependability, power and torque the Harley nostalgia will become a distant memory.

What? You mean there's other motorcycles besides the Rocket 3 out there??? Nobody tells me anything...I've heard about other bikes out there but haven't seen "em unless that's what those pokey things I see when I come down out of the sound barrier !:D

Welcome aboard! This is a great place to call home...

Travelinguy out...

My Softail ( god love her) has about 20 miles on her since
Velma ( 2010 R3T ) came in on March 26th of this year.
The Rocket has close to 10k on her. Welcome to the site.
You will find a lot of info here. And a lot of great people.
