Neat project. Hope it's not too "hot". It'd be a shame to spend a lot of time and $$$, just to have someone from your area claim it when you get it done.

Yeah, he went ahead and fount the owner of the property... I didn't want him just pulling out random vehicles off property that doesn't belong to us. The old man has been known to be a bit of a curmudgeon however he recently had some cardiac issues that given him a new appreciation for life. I think the idea of a father/son project hit him and he gave my son the bike along with a location where other useful parts may be (after sitting out in the weather for 30 years I have my doubts about how useful they may be).

But after we slam it to the ground and add LED running lights and a gold flake paint job nobody will recognize what it is!

Well, with the help of some penetrating oil and some heat he has removed the engine! Unfortunately it didn't have a spark plug in it so I think the top end is shot. Good thing is the rebuild kit is only about $60, so he has that going for him!
