Boots

I Hope so!!! Got a family thing I am trying to get out of..... (Mother In-law) Its a luv hate relationship - we luv to hate each other - a bit sad tho.... sigh.... that's a long story.

Steel toes are a good safety factor, but they will make you toes cold in cold weather.

You will lose some feeling for gear shifting unless you have a heal toe shifter.

If you want a steel toe look for a composit toe made out of plastic or fiberglass, much warmer.

should have been more clear the price of redwings that's all I have steel toe for work, play, show,i see or feel no difference shifting
 
Too hot to wear them so I thought I'd give them a bit of oil to keep them soft and waterproof. They'll be 30 in a few months hoping they last another 30 years.
 

+1 on both the Georgia Boot Company, and to each their own.

I like the convenience and waterproof aspect of the boot. For a long time, I wore a SIDI boot with which I was very happy -- eventually the velcro closures didn't work so well.

Like others, I wanted the convenience, and something that didn't look so "motorcycle in your face" at work, and the Wellington fit that bill.

I must have easy (no lace up), waterproof (amazing with all the Chippewa offerings -- not one of the 'motorcycle' boots is waterproof - though many others are), and tall. Lastly, a modicum of civilian look is icing. And gosh, do I have to pay through the nose to get that combination ?

If folks see their respective favorite go on sale, I would be happy to see it here. Just sayin . . .
