booster plug

Why a PC or Dobeck if you have Tune ECU?

Thank you everyone for your replies I'm going to do some more research with the tune ECU and then use it seeing as I did buy it cable and all and even the app on my phone LOL I should be able to get her all programmed up for the spring up here in Canada

I would learn tune ecu on a laptop verses a phone app. Then move on to the phone app. But thats my opinion as I do not use my phone on my bike.

Ya I have a old 10 inch net book by Acer. New it was under 200 bucks. Its so old it has windows XP. I only use it on the bikes now so it does not get any internet use.
I use a laptop top by Acer with windows 10 and have had no problems at all. Power vision program and Fix my hog subscription on laptop and run great. The laptop is for motorcycle use only. Still to this day I get a good giggle out of hooking up a computer to a bike. I think back on the days when you walked out to the bike and did the diagnostics with a good ear and common sense. Now life is much simpler.

They keep improving things even worse all the time

I fitted the booster plug, it did make for a better throttle response and an smoother ride and reduced the decal popping a bit, but on the downside when I came to do a major service I noticed that the plugs were fouled, I also removed the throttle bodies to give them a good clean and the back of the inlet valves were covered with black tar carbon. I removed the booster plug and a few thousand miles later checked, plugs normal most of tar gone and better fuel economy by about 10 mpg. Hope this helps.
