Same thing happened to my odometer on my '06 Classic several months ago. Don't know of any fixes. I've installed a GPS odometer designed to fit in car and boat dashes which has proven to be very accurate. I put it in the empty air cleaner box under my seat. Here in California you can sell vehicles with busted odometers as long as you attest to the last known mileage, etc., when transferring title. Obviously this can directly affect what people are willing to pay for a bike with unknown mileage. The GPS odometer is less than ideal but at least I can check it occasionally to keep track of my mileage . The original died at 30,500 miles and I have a sticker on the frame near the new odometer with that original mileage for reference.
