Living Legend
The teardrops are back on and still vibrating at 3K and above. Since the round ones don't do it at least I know it's the mirrors and not the bike,
Although I do get some weird ass vibration at 2K to 2.1 K that I can actually feel throughout the whole bike![]()
I have decided to live with the vibration until I can come up with something to fix the problem because I really like the looks of the teardrop mirrors. I assume the inserts you used didnt solve the problem. I was going to follow your lead if this corrected it.
This tells me that it's the physical charistics of the mirror rather than the tightness or looseness of the mirror. Having seen that more than one person has had the vibration problems it would seem Triumph would have caught the problem before releasing the mirrors to the public.
I attempted a fix by removing one mirror and inserting a rubber plumbing washer around the stem but found that it didn't help at all. I'm thinking that having a heavier bar ends would knock the vibration out since they do seem a little light side IMHO compared to ones on other bikes. I don't know what else to try right off the bat. Maybe someone might come up with something.
