Picked up the DVD set the other week watched all six episodes in one sitting. Julie got a bit sick of me picking faults. The extras on the dvd said they went to a lot of effort to get the bikes right for the period. All shovels ' sportsters and I saw 1 triumph twin. Back in 83-84 there was alot more triumphs and nortons around the patch clubs and by early 84 softails and evo superglides were becoming fairly popular with clubs. In one scene before the Comanchero's split Leroy offers Ceaser a plastic motorcycle model corect me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure it was a Rocket 111 in 1984?

Haven't seen it.
Don't even know if it comes on in America or not.
Wouldn't that be a kick tho if they went to all that trouble
then messed up getting a 2004 model in a 1984 set...
Couldn't have been an Indian inline 4 could it?

Was a load of rubbish ... much the same as that S.O.A. I've watched one episode of both of them ( only because everyone was rabbiting on about them) and turned both off before they'd finished

I have to admit watched the series of Bike Wars and don't mind S O A.

What I've found about these TV shows, it's amazing after they are on TV, the amount of people that say they were there or know someone that was there.

That pisses me off more than the inconsistencies with the actual events, and the bike clubs them selves.

They could have cast it better i think
IMO it would have been better if they used people who actually looked intimidating
Some of the dudes looked like they couldnt even bench press their own socks lmfao:D

But i did watch it and thought it was ok i try not to take them for more than a bit of light entertainment though same with S.o.a .

I did read the book called The Enforcer by Ceasar Campbell which wasnt a bad read dont know how much of it is fact and how much is fiction but not a bad read none the less. Currently reading Ironman by Toni Iomi "blacksabbath" then i have Wrecking crew to read which is another Ceasar Campbell book . same thing i just take it all with a pinch of salt enjoy the read but i never take it as gospal

For sure there is people around then who were and still are as staunch as you can find. I just think if your gonna do something like bikie wars, you should be as close to the truth as you can. Not to belittle those involved and make out it was like a schoolboy fight gone bad.

Mate if you want a good read try to get hold of Sunny Bargers book on the Angels, undoubtedly it doesn't cover every thing but was surprising how much he did actually say.
