Used to get cupping on the front with the Metz too but nothing at all with the Avon, also inspires confidence in the corners Bruce. Much better in my opinion.

Had to modify the front bracket. Skinny looking thing, rocket tyre wouldn't fit in it. Opened it up then bent the ends in to be a tight fit on the tyre.

Whats the purpose of it, just to hold the bike vertical?

Yes for checking oil and other servicing and cleaning. My bike is parked in it now.
