Bike No2 joins the Rocket 3 in Jagster's garage.....

What else can I throw into the mix..... Well....

In 2017 'they' took their advanced prototype machine to Pikes Peak and the bike won it's class and came 4th overall.

and......I have read somewhere that Eric De Doncker (motorbike racer (in the 80s he raced in GP 250, World Superbike and World Endurance racing in the European NASCAR with a Ford Mustang) purchased one from the factory in 2016.........obscure bit of info.

Wow!!
Well done fellas. You got there.
I have to confess that I would have really struggled to work out what it was, if I didn't already know.
It's very rare and not a bike (or brand) that is commonly talked about, even between bike enthusiasts.
Perhaps stating the Pikes Peak thing lifted the curtain all the way up (?)

@wjb They must do, because I have one.....although it's incredibly spartan. I did ask the sales guy if he could confirm fully, that it will pass the annual MOT test. He said yes, and you know for sure that sales guys never lie, so everything will be fine......right?.....:whitstling:

@Tal You are a man of few words, but those words are very effective

@CanberraR3 I am pretty amazed that you managed to work it out just by the bit of the fuel tank in my second photo. Fantastic.
Your eyesight is far better than mine, but then again, perhaps it proves that my photography is better than I thought, so not all bad on my part.

So well done all. I enjoyed that. I hope you did too.

This is the Pikes Peak version.....

I discovered when I talked to the original owner of my bike that the donor bike had been very carefully sourced here in the UK (with just 2k miles on it). It then checked over mechanically before being shipped down to BottPower in Spain, where David Sanchez had the main hand in building it into a BottPower XR1 before shipping it back to the UK.
It should therefore (I hope) be among of the best XR1's out there.

As I mentioned at the start of the thread, i've never actually seen one for sale before now so they must be extremely rare.

I'm in lust, but I will be the first to admit that the bike will out perform me.

Power to weight ratio of this bike is off the scale compared to the Rocket......and as for the cornering abilities........I think that is very plain to see just from looking at it.

But there is one main similarity of this bike when compared to the Rocket, and that is the fact that it is an engine shaped bike. The engine completely dominates the bike. I just love that so much. The big capacity Moto Guzzi's have a similar aesthetic. Just wonderful....

I haven't ridden it yet. Only sat on it. My baseline justification for the purchase is that even if I never ride it much, I will get the remainder of the value of the bike just by looking at it from all angles.

You can keep your MV Augusta's and your Ducati's......I'll take this bike as my poster bike any day of the week.
