Had to go to the dealership today, there were rumors going around that R3guy (John from Pace) was trying to buy my bike out from under me...I was just in time to stop that from happening, now if I can keep Daryl from farting on the seat...or Dave from stealing those saddlebags...this deal should go rather smoothly :kk::kk::kk:.

Maybe I missed the post, but are you ditching the Road Glide? I have had 4 Harleys: 2 Road Kings, and 2 Road Glides. I got tired of having something everyone else has or thinks they want one.

Friend of mine is a salesperson here in Germany for HD military sales (actually some pretty good prices). She asked what it would take to get me to buy one...I said "You have something with around 150-160hp, 150 ft/lbs of torque, and costs less than $17K new?" She said "they could put two bikes together to get the first two requirements, but the 3rd was out of the question." I laughed and said I have a BMW with four wheels if I wanted two bikes together. Guess I'm stuck with my Beast for a while!! :D
But that's ok, Like I told her, I'd rather be riding my bike than a: working on it or b: parking it at the shop so I could spend hours getting pretty HD labeled pants, shirts, chaps, gloves, helmets, jewelry, etc!:kick:

For Slidderhd...you guessed it...my "experiment" in having an HD is coming to an end. It's not a bad bike and I haven't really had any trouble with it...but it just doesn't go very fast and the power is just not there...at least not like what the R3T has and I won't go into the discrepancy in power compared to the Roadster.

I had some good times with it but I've owned lots of different bikes and they seemed to be more fulfilling to me than what the HD ultimately offers.

They are nice for just cruising, but what pushed me past Harley was me and wife at total weight of about 450lbs plus luggage, plus pulling a camper. The Road Glide struggled on mild hills. I didn't think I should have to downshift. The Rocket only downshifts at lights, and accelerates up hills no matter what the load.
