Ya, thats the only thing that sucks. I have actually been working on a transfer to NC. I am in line to replace a guy that is retiring in the next year or so in the South Eastern part of the state.
 
If we're talking under bearclaw filters there isn't a perfect solution.

K&N 2780 worst flow, ill fitting on some rockets, no "kit" solution for IAT and breather solutions.

RAMAIR great flow, cracks and crumbling rubber.

UNI filters filter the least, flow the best, have caused at least one documented case of catching on fire, no wire mesh to support the foam, most costly. Same kit issues as K&N.

Pick your poison
 
The K&N 2780s fit perfectly under the bear claw and I have had nothing but a positive experience for over 8K miles.
 
For some bikes, like mine, they touch the claw a bit. All depends on the specific bike.
