Before you purchased the Rocket was a Guzzi California considered?

I had originally planned to test ride the Guzzi (Cali), Rocket, T-bird and a Victory.

Rode the Rocket first and it scared the crap out of me...then I rode the T-Bird....then I BOUGHT the Rocket.

Never made it to the Guzzi or Victory.

The only Guzzi I would contemplate owning would be a mid 80s 1000 Le Mans in red only, a beautiful handling and sounding bike, but a cramped riding position no good for big old guys:(

I might mention I signed up on a Guzzi forum yesterday and got very little response to my questions. I have been thinking about getting a Triumph for quite some time so that's what I'm leaning towards. I actually test rode the Thunderbird when it first came out. Being someone that rode a Valkyrie for 10 years I think that has an effect on me leaning towards the Rocket. I'm really looking forward to a test ride.

I was offered a ride .I thought they looked nice and handled well .The horse power and torque was okay .They were expensive . I think the rocket gives more value for money .The torque is okay but you need to test ride a rocket the difference is very noticeable .

Thanks for your response, as I mentioned I am leaning towards a Rocket if I change bikes. I'm trying to consider everything and not make a mistake like I have done in the past. I have already decided I will not trade for another Harley. If I stay with Harley I will just keep my 2010 slightly modified Ultra. At age 60 and retired whatever I get will have to last me a long time.

I test rode a Norge in 2007 the next day I test rode the Rocket ... No contest the rocket pulled harder, smoother and had very little vibration while the Norge vibrated so much I cut short the test ride
