Bear claws are ugly!!!!

I'm not a huge fan of the bear claw, but it never bothered me as much as the '57 Buick radiator. Had I kept my R3T, I'd have eventually had the chrome pieces powder coated black or purchased the black pieces. At least then it would probably have blended in with the bike a little more.

Did ya see my next project?
Lons gonna disown me for sure,
but I want to buy another tank, a set of side covers, and rear fender,
I'm gonna paint em ORANGE.
I know,,, orange, whats he smokin' right?
I'm gonna weld the tank and side covers together and paint it orange,
with a yella stripe.
Sounds like crap huh?
But the first Triumph I ever fell in love with was those colors,
and I didn't get it when it came out, and can't afford it now.
But here's what I got now, (more or less)

and what I want it to look like when I'm done.

My baby is gonna have two dresses, black for formal,and orange for street fightin'.

That sounds like a way cool project,love to see some more pics as you go along with it. The original Hurricane was the first machine that ever made a pimply faced thirteen year old (me) lust after something without tits.........I've never truly recovered !!! Like you I had a long misspent affair with the HD brand and still have a couple of them,but that old sexy Hurricane..........wow gotta go........... I need a cold shower.

My project

I have made my initial cut with the air saw on my donated claw. I am still thinking about which way to go. Powder coat or paint. We see after I fix the accident damage. There has to be some way to dress up the tops of the K&N's. I believe Busa Jack had some type of bling he affixed that looked good. British coins????? I'll know it when I see it.

Think I'll rename it "Hurricane II".
We've got a reborn 21st century Rocket 3,
why not have a 21st century reborn HURRICANE II ???

I figure my girl can wear her Black dress for formals,
and her ORANGE dress for steppin out and stompin harleys.
