@imcool great reference work on your battery drain thread đź‘Ť I hadn't seen that till now.

I'm really not technically competent when it comes to electrics, but I have experienced quite a few electrical problems over the years and so I do have a bit of a sixth sense as to what/where I should be looking, but not the technical knowledge to trace a fault such as this one with a multimeter.

If the fault lies in the starter hardware, it must be possible for a qualified auto electrician to use a multimeter to check if there is a high current drain during the cranking sequence.

I have heard in the past of at least one situation on a 12v vehicle where rogue starter hardware was draining down the battery very quickly, but unfortunately, my poor memory isn't helping me to highlight finer points about it. It's just a case of checking through all the elements of the starter circuit.
Relay through to the starter motor itself.

get a multimeter and verify amperes from my post below, these values were taken from a working brand new showroom bike. if you have higher drain amperes, then there is a short on your bike and start removing each fuse one by one until the values matches to what I took, and then you have the circuit where the short exist and we can go from there.

I'll give that a go when I get a bit of time this week then loop you all in, thank you!

I have exactly the same problem.
3 years old GT
Very similar use
On the 3rd battery now
Dealer baffled
:-(
Hi Guys, any news about the battery draining issue (Thadorod ?)
I have a 3R 2023 with the same problem now!
Thanks for your update

try troubleshooting by yourself first, there could be a minor short eating batteries, or bad starter as Jagster said, without you putting effort good luck chasing dealers, usually they do not care for tough jobs, all they want is easy money

yes, just google it.

You should also have a multimeter as others have said. battery drain issues are actually fairly easy to track down on a motorcycle.

i can almost see it now everyone sitting there thinking wtf is a multimeter
