Bar end mirrors

Anybody ever try bar end mirrors on their Rock? I was at the Dealer last week and saw the Triumph bar end mirrors on the 09 Thruxton and thought they might look cool on the Rocket. Kinda look like Napoleon bar end mirrors but with a nicer finish.

mod you'll have to do :
3 rd picture down ( red towel )
Leave boss looking washer part on

Cut off threaded part & won't use brass collets
supplied in kit

You will have to re- use stock triumph bar end bolt
as kit bolt is to short ..... kit bolt was only long enough
to expand collet , which you're not using now

very simple install !

I asked the Dealer if they'd fit the Rock... he pulled the end caps off the bars of a Rocket and a Thruxton. The area inside the bars that the weights screw in to is farther inside the Rocket III bars. I could fix that, but after I left the dealer, it occured to me that I didn't look at the diameter of the thruxton bars... not sure if they're the same as the Rocket.
 
this is what i've done but i dont know the make of the mirror,i turned the standard bar end to suit. :shock: :wink:
 
I think the bar end mirrors on the Thruxton look great! I would love to have them on the Rocket. Does someone have access to both to see if they will fit?

They are not a direct fit Chris. Both the Bonne and the Rocket handlebars have a plate inside the bars that the bar end weights bolt into. Plate inside the Bonne bars is real close to the end of the bar and on the Rock the plate is farther inside the bar.

I'm not sure if the Rockets bar end weight mounting bolt is the same diameter as the one on the Bonne. If it is, I'm thinking about just cutting an inch or so off my standard bars so the depth to the plate will be the same... Then they should mount right up.
