Bar end mirrors ...anyone?

No but I saw a photo where a guy had put the standard mirrors in the underside mirror mounts (there is a screw blanking plug). Weird but had a kinda bar end effect cos they ran out under the grips. Try it see what you think - an let us know???

Just remember you are going to add several inchs clearance to each side. In my case that would really be a problem clearing the space between car in driveway and house.
