Triumph Rocket 3
Hello, I was hoping someone could give me some advice if they have it. I have a 2022 rocket 3 gt. I just got confirmation from my mechanic that it has a bad throttle actuator. Which apparently the only way to fix it is to buy a whole throttle body assembly. The whole thing is at least $3800 in parts. I’m going to reach out to warranty to see if they cover it but don’t think they will. Does anyone have any advice or similar experience?

I would not get in a big hurry to spend $3800
I would not carve the mechanics opinion in stone maybe another opinion.
What is the actual problem the guys maybe able to help..
I am afraid I will be no help because my internet has been out for two weeks and the best they could accomplish is to knock out my phone service also.
The basic design is two tps sensors (not a good idea considering how well the early model tps sensors went bad.) And the throttle actuator. Anyway the two sensors one on the grip and one at the throttle plates and the ecu cross reference the values then the ecu send the required voltage to operate the actuator. Short version on a truck you have a tps (throttle position sensor) on the gas pedal and another on the intake throttle blades and a motor (throttle actuator) It is the same system that launches the vehicle for when you least expect it.
We will need a lot more info to advise you. Any of the three components can cause a problem determining the culprit is going to be a task. For example if you change throttle bodies and the trouble is on the handlebar you have wasted a lot of money.
Did not proff read. Hth
