Back to the shop at 100 miles

What did the Corbin screen and bags cost you .. if you don't mind me asking. I know Corbin stuffs not cheap but just curious .
F**kingod**** expensive. (though I talked them into a small discount.) I don't like to think about it too much... And I have a beef with some of the cheap plastic parts they use on the bags, but I'll save that for later. I guess it's what you have to pay if you want something that was made for the bike, as opposed to just fitting on it. I can't imagine they sell too many of them at those prices, and they gotta pay the fiberglass wizard who designs them. If they hold up, I'll be happy. If they start cracking after a year or something, I'm gonna flip out. But I'll make sure to post how they do over time so folks will know.

I had a real hard time finding pictures of this combo, so my intent was to get some out there for folks that want the roadster's power but need some bags too.

With these bags the bike was still cheaper than the F6B. And all I'd have to show for that would have been a bunch of buttons and some speakers I don't need or want. And about 50 less horsepower. Nah, I'll pass.

I was thinking of doing the stripes on the fairing, but I think it might be a bit too much, not sure. I'll think on it some more and see if I can find someone I trust around here to do it right. But yeah, I agree, I love the factory stripes. When I saw it on the show room floor, I knew I was gonna have that bike, though I tried to talk myself out of it, and be more "sensible." Thank God it didn't work!

I was going to save this for another post where I go into more detail for folks looking to buy these, but that might be a while, and it can't hurt to post it here as well. This fairing will NOT WORK with the Triumph oval or teardrop mirrors. You have to use the stockers or something else. (So don't toss them!) I put a little chip in the paint on the fairing finding that out... Nice thing about flat/matte black paint is that it's easy to fix.

Very very nice! Congrats!! I'm still not sold on the fairing but I have to admit it does look good. One of the reasons I purchased a Rocket was because of the way it looks, clean with an attitude. I like the idea of putting on the accessories I want for a long trip, screen, bags, sissy bar etc....then when I get home take it all off. To each his own, I guess that is what makes the R3R a great buy.
Safe riding!

Great looking set up by the way. I don't even like bags etc kinda more of a minimalist, but that combo in the matt finish looks pretty good.

I don't like bags either to be honest. But this is not a weekend fun bike, I bought it commute to work and save gas and wear and tear on my other vehicles. The bike looks better naked no doubt about it. But it's tolerable this way, if you gotta have some utility/ want to pick up a sack or two of groceries on the way home.

How do you like that "Quest Shoei"? I got one a couple weeks ago.
I love it. It's actually a J-Cruise though. Aside from looking like Marvin the Martian, it's great. Visibility is far better than my old X-Eleven, and it's easier to put on and breaths better. The internal sliding sun visor is AWESOME. That's one of those things like when they started putting rear doors on pickups so you could get behind the seats better, and you were like, **** that was a no brainer. I live in the desert of west Texas and it gets hot as sh*t out here. A full face helmet is a bit too much for comfort in the summer months, and tends to fog easy in the winter when you close the vents. Not to mention being hard to get on and off. This thing is a great compromise, trading looks and a little protection for more comfort convenience and visibility. Highly recommended if you can stand the look. I don't care what I look like, I don't ride to be seen by people.
