At the dealership - 2018 Rocket to get 2500 ccs

If it can't haul two up and carry some stuff, it's of no interest to me. For me, a new touring model, that looks more like a standard, with removable windscreen and saddlebags, with equal or more power, might coax some money out of my tight arse.

Yea same here. Don't want or need a funky looking copy cat. Like the Rocket X very much. Comfortable and very practical. Rides two when required. Can back sh*t on long runs. The pics of the new rocket are a big disappointment. No need or desire to buy a copy cat. Come on Truimph pull your head out of your As$.

Yes I was hoping they would of made the tank cemetrical and do a nicer and smaller radiator with nicer rims and perhaps a belt drive so a nice 300 tire can be put on the back , and stock 200 hp and a 2.5 with 6 gears would be perfect in my opinion:)

Not sure why Triumph would copy the Diavel. It's not like those are exactly flying off the shelves. I don't believe I've ever seen one in the wild.

I almost bought the black/red one. Then in 2003, I bought a Thunderbird Sport--orange/black triple, 900cc of sporty fun--but lots of vibration through bars and the steering lock was ridiculously small. Then in 2012 I bought a new Thunderbird--1600cc twin cruiser! Nothing like the Tbird sport of 9 years earlier. So yes, Triumph definitely recycles the names.

Hypothetical: let's say they drop the R3 and produce the 1800cc Trident--would you be interested in a classically styled new Trident or stick with the R3?

No quandry here stick with R3. I need a bike for multiple use so my R3 doubles as tourer, sportbike and sometimes off roader. Its a lunatic bike that shouldnt exist and i like it for that

I just want the same bike with 17 inch rims, that's all i ask at this point, just fing 17 inch rims...

A proper 200/60R17 would improve every aspect of the R3R.
