The ROCKET is smooth at highway speeds or I should say mine are its above those speeds that vibes start to come in .

I used to own a Goldwing and then a Valkyrie. Rumours abounded for years about increasing the Goldwing 1800 to greater than 2000 cc and it hasn't happened yet. If customers are happy with the displacement and power, government regulations are adhered too, insurance companies have settled into a price level with the displacement and sales are at the level the manufacturer requires and expects for the product line then larger displacement will not occur. Rumours are just rumours and I would not believe what the dealer says as the manufacturer keeps the dealer network in the dark until changes are actually released to the market.

Exactly... Its not as though the dealer network has large numbers of old models to sell. Most dealers here seem to have 1, maybe 2 Rockets in stock.

My dealership was completely out of Rockets. Of course...Rockets are not exactly a best selling motorcycle! However I found my conversation with this fellow to be very intriguing based upon not just his words but his mannerisms and tone. It seemed like he was giving the absolute truth as he knew it...(but then he's a salesman....and salesmen are known for world class acting ability!)
In that shop the ONLY Thunderbird was a 2015 Commander brand new...with a 6K markdown. So he might have been doing a soft sell to me on it....(I must admit...it looked very nice...lots of bling!...but not much clearance for cornering...and not really appealing to me)

Never mind the increase in engine capacity ,2300cc is more than enough ,IF Triumph reengineered their drive line completely to suit the engine, and had a much improved quality control then more people(me) would
buy another Rocket Tomorrow!
