Arrrrgh , all of a sudden running like chit on idle

You would be surprised I think mate, they have always been good with things like that.
I don't suppose it would hurt to ask, a faulty injector could cause those problems

No never had that recall done mate, one things for sure with the mods done on my bike i really doubt theyd even cover a warranty claim on somthing basic.

First up, if the ECU needs replacing it gets replaced regardless of mods. Send me the last 6 of your VIN and I can check for you. Haven't seen any Rockets recalled in Aus with this issue (yet) - only Bonnes and 1 T'bird.

Secondly, your problem, even though it's mostly better, seems to be most likely spark related. Check leads (high and low tension) for good contact and plugs. Also check there are no splits or tears in the insulation on the high tension leads, especially around the rubber ends that go over the plugs. These can tear when pulled out (well, one of mine did).

Thanks mate, havnt got VIN number right now , this sounds stupid whats the difference between high and low tension leads ? Are the spark plug leads the high tension ? if so whats the low tension ?

Low tension is sitting at the pub with your mates. High tension is explaining it to the wife when you get home ;) Seriously the small colored wires on coils bring the low voltage (tension) power to the coils from the ECU. The coils then convert it to high voltage (tension) to fire across the spark plug. This system was brought to us by Nikola Tesla many years ago.

Through winter the bike has run great only a slight burrble on change down from 3rd-2nd no back fire , had the occasional pop back through the throttle bodies but that had happened from the day i picked it up brand new.

I'm so glad someone else has posted about this. I have a '16 roadster and noticed since day 1 occasionally when shifting down from 3rd>2nd I get a huge blast under the bearclaw. When it first happened I thought something had fallen off the bike onto the pavement. I can replicate this very easily while going down from 3rd>2nd. When it happens, there is no exhaust note just a huge POP under the claw. I feel like this shouldn't be happening on stock. Possibly a bad map? Maybe it's time to get the tunecu cable and figure out what I'm looking at.

As its so new don't muck around take it back to the dealer and get them to fix it.
