Are the later models not plagued by issues?

over 12000 on mine..pannier rails recall, gear position selector recall and tires are total recall for mine..absolutely pleased with my R3T...twice in shop less than 2 hours for recall and overnite on 10000mile service..3 trips to dealer in one year($650),,no Hardley or Yamaha can match that time frame/dollar amount..ask any honest hardly/yammy owner if you find one!

TAZ,
I've had a couple of minor problems with my '07 standard.
First my outputshaft bearing went out.
Total driveline replaced by Triumph.
Total cost to me $0.
Now I'm awaitting the "new" improved, upgraded TPS.
Total cost to me $0.
I'm currently looking for the wife a gently used rocket.
(a relative term when in the same sentence with rocket)
I have no fear of Triumph not doing the right thing if a minor problem developes in the future.
From my experience, they're a great company, with a one of a kind, great product.
Get your rocket and don't look back, (except at the harleys)..;)
Just my 2 cents..

So what everyone is saying is that they really really really like their Rocket 3. No question about it from every thing I have read on several R-3 forums. Well I am in love and I only was able to sit on it. Didn't have time to take a test ride. 6'4" and 260lbs and it fit me perfect. 9 more days! Trying to come up with a name for her. It will come to me.

Onya Bigfoot....I've got a few inches and a few pounds on you and the Rocket Touring is one of the only two bikes I'm comfortable on (the Vulcan 2000 is the other, but it had belt squeak, pulley failure, bearing disintegration and a couple of other common issues). My Rocket has had no issues.

I've added a little handlebar height, seat height (with a day-long), and heavy duty suspension (Progressive), and it's far and away the most complete bike I've owned.

Wait till your first ride...you won't be able to wipe the smile off your dial).

Pete
