Are progressive fork springs worth the $

Grab you front brake as you push the bike forward. How much does it sink? Progressives and a little heavier new oil will reduce that by at least 50%. Since the tubes have to come out to replace the seals it is a quick cheap improvement. I used DelRay #7 fork oil, I think. The springs cost 100$. Ask Kevin how the his TwoTone feels? The forks from a crashed Diavel will fit. Marchesini. 1500+ used, if you find a set. In the back, Progressives 444s are expensive 600+, but IMO worth it. The original ones will buck you off the bike in a good bump. I bought 440 standards and set them at minimum preload. 200lbs, solo rider, 07 Classic, novice rider.

I've been launched due to the rear shocks. I'm leaking fork oil so it's time. The rear shocks may have to wait for a few months. Appreciate the reply!

I finally was able to find some green, and changed the rear shocks to progressive 444!!!! Oh my, I couldn't believe the difference on my sore aching hips and lower back from work. I was so worried that it wasn't going to do much so I kept waiting can now go for a long ride after work, instead of waiting till a day after my last work day to ride a bit and lots of ibuprofen. The front was a thought that has come to mind but that will be costly as I'd have to have a mechanic do that one don't have anything close to the equipment needed for that and something about a size shorter and narrower front tire did a lot for stearing and handling don't know have to look into that more
