2 tbsp. of freshly ground flaxseeds has been proven to work better than statins with no side effects. Google and you will see loads of info. Obviously Big pHarma doesn't want you to know this as they can't patent flaxseeds and make any money off it.

Wow, I've been eating 1 tbsp of freshly ground flax seeds a day for the last several months. My annual checkup is Tuesday, looking for a single digit cholesterol number.

My cholesterol has crept up over the years, I finally gave in and started taking a statin, but I told my Dr that there is absolutely no history of heart disease in my family, we don't live long enough, the cancer always gets us first. I think warp is like my wife, she eats nothing but carbs and sugar, and probably consumes more calories than me by a 2/1 ratio, and never gains a pound. I eat right and avoid junk food, and get fatter and fatter
LOL :p

I'd rather have a couple tablespoons of bacon grease :) serious ive been taken some different old fart vitamins and I'm almost at my winter weight already. Trying to stabilize my weight even if I have to stay on the fat side. The plus is I can decrease to only one pants size :)

Yeah, I realized that if I avoid everything they told me to I'd only be eating the packages food comes in rather than the actual food. That said, making a conscious effort to avoid a lot of carbs has resulted in a 15-20 lb loss over the last year. Unfortunately I also seem to have lost an inch and a half in height. At this rate I may just disappear before I die.

I was worried about my weight gain, I got a physical and sure enough, "pre-diabetic" also elevated potassium. I did some research, pre- diabetic diet and low sodium diet together, about the only thing left is lettuce, celery, and peppers. First two high potassium vegetables listed we're asparagus and brussel sprouts, my two favorites.:(

If I start eating healthy now I will more than likely get sick

Research shows two a day. If you don't see an improvement try two. I don't know what you put it on but with its nutty taste its quite versatile. I put it on salads, in cereal and smoothies. Good luck!:)
