Anyone go to the Darkside?

What tire did you go with?

What tire (tyre) have you had this loooong wear from please? Then I can see if it’s available in OZ

Raptor 225/60/16 Too small, hard to steer.

Sumitomo 235/60/16 Great steering, too big, rubbed the mud guard

Antares 215/70/16 Narrower, good size. Doesn't seem to rub, good grip in rain

Best and favorite. Exedra Max

Thank you.

The Exedra, is that the brand?
Never heard of in OZ, will google now ...

What size and psi for the Exedra please ?

Ended up going with the Bridgestone run-flat Driveguard 205/60R16. Started at 38 psi but felt to rough, down to 25 psi and even thought handles like a dream going to try 28 psi.
Put 200 miles on it riding easy to let the molding oil wear off then the last 300+ been riding like I stole it when alone.
I am NOT SORRY I made the change over. I hit the turns and ramps hard and noticed no difference in handling and no premature edge wear as of yet.
I will bring the front tire off the ground if I hit the throttle to hard due to the wider footprint.
If you are on the fence about trying it my advice is to give it a shot for yourself and get first hand experience.
I have heard from a LOT of those that have done it and loved it, 1 that did not and plenty that never tried it but had plenty of input on something they had no experience with. To them I say keep playing with your finger paints and stop eating the glue.
You are never going to know if it is for you or not unless you try it for yourself. The clincher for me was when a guy sent me a picture of his CT with 42K on it and he road the Tail of the Dragon often as I do.

If you do go Darkside, put the air in the tire AFTER you put it on the bike, makes it easier.

Sounds like one tire (tire) wld last me 3 to 4 years ! For less than $200?! I’m gonna try for sure.

What’s the worst that cld happen? No good, and a few bux down. I cld sell it off 2nd hand, so why not try ?
