Anybody wish their R3T had more braking? PART 2

Yes nice work , personally I'm not a fan of adaptor plates in general, even tidy ones like those pictured.
As a mate of mine owns Pretech I get their 6 pots at a friendly price. ;)
Les when you check to see if he has any that fit the R3T see what his prices are for front and back changeover to 6 pot. I might be able to swing at least one set for myself.
I have never had any brake problems but then I might ride a little less aggressive then most of you guys :)

No wish to hijack thread,
will start new one.

I would not be concerned about the thread. We're all family here. :)

I would assume (fully taking the risk that 'assume' will get me --> 'ass' - 'u' - 'me') that there would be no reason to change out the rear.

If anything, increasing the braking up front (and we can't increase it beyond the traction limit of the tire, anyway - so what we're talking about here is capturing some unused braking margin between what the stock set-up delivers and what is theoretically available from the tire contact - yes ?) would result in incrementally greater front end dive/weight transfer with a consequent lightening of the rear, giving the rear a greater propensity to lock up sooner.

On the ABS version -- is it smart enough to handle the front and rear independently ?

So, the reasoning goes, even is the stock is not up to par on the rear, whatever margin is there is even less with a changeout up front.

Hold any water ?

I have experienced the ABS one time -- we were two up descending a relatively steep country mountain road with a sharp turn at the bottom and I encountered washboarding combined with loose rain-wash gravel, and the ABS helped me reach the bottom in full control and slow enough to easily make the turn.
