I wonder if since myself and heaps of others have had to replace the primary throttle tps due too them crapping out, wether also the secondary tps that controls various parametres including the secondary butterfies if fitted can upset idle and such becouse it too is crapping out, and giving the ecm wrong messages and conflicting info to screw around with idle, just a thought.
I stand corrected.
You're right of course, had my PRIMARY TPS replaced a couple of months ago and it was the one on the BACK of the fuel rail.
My bad, typing without thinking is not a good thing.
Thank you DCRocket
Owl, Gus at Baxters in Marne Iowa said he's never seen the seconday one go out, its always the primary at the back of the fuel rail.
TuneBoy rules, I just adjusted the primary TPS, idle stepper motor and throttle bodies. Now it runs like a dream and I dont have to feather the clutch around corners anymore. A quick visual to check the stepper motor is look and see if the stepper is turning the cam to push the throttles open. When its cold it should move about 8mm to raise the idle if it doesn't you probably have low idle problems and too much you will have high idle problems. TuneBoy (Dash mode) tells you how to do it, the insructions scroll along the bottom of the page. I am wondering if the TPS beds in over time and just needs adjustment now and again.
