Another exhaust option from Dominator

The Dominator does sort of look like an Akra. I'd like it more if the 1 into 2 piping wasn't so visible. Obviously, a lot of this is subjective from an appearance perspective, but I never really understood the appeal so far of most of the dual outlets options.

While the factory did it dual on one side, I think they got it better than almost all the aftermarket with duals. I'd rather have less pipe and save more weight. That is one of the reasons I went with Verex. You have a choice of finishes: brushed, polished, and black ceramic. It probably saves more weight than most and the price is very affordable. The db killer is included and not an upcharge like some. The craftsmanship is great. They start at under $600 US and even with shipping from Australia, it is still a great value. I bought one of their cat eliminators for my KTM Duke 890R and it fit perfectly.

Taz,

as you say so well, everything is a question of taste... You see, for example, your Verex exhaust is, for me, absolutely ugly, even more so than the Dominator.
I don't see the point in putting a 50s style exhaust on a 2020s bike even though the 3 in 1 is probably the most efficient system for engine efficiency. But, as winning 1 or 2 horses does not interest me so I stay with my pot (Ixil, which gave me what I was looking for as a priority, namely removing the catalyst and saving weight and heat).

In short, the important thing is that everyone finds the right fit and that the earth continues to turn in the right direction...

I am not concerned about ultimate power with this muffler, I have other bikes far quicker than the Rocket. Like you, I wanted to save weight and reduce heat. Super hot temps here in the summer. Well over 100F/40C and the cat just cooks me.

I like the reverse cone megaphone look. Recalls the old Nortons I had. At the same time, there isn't a single aftermarket exhaust that I wanted to buy purely based on aesthetics. After seeing it in person, the Verex has really grown on me. At some point I'll likely do a header w/muffler and call it a day. This is a good interim option for me and I am happy enough with it if I never go with a header. Since a header was my ultimate plan, I didn't feel the need to overspend and as a side benefit I saved at least $500US vs the other options I was considering. I'll use that toward a Viking exhaust when finally released.

Thankfully there are a lot of exhaust options currently for the Rocket.

I understand your point of view for the Norton...the worst part is that I too, at the time, had mounted this type of exhaust on my Speed Triple 1050 (a Zard in the low position) so , basically, we agree on everything !!! 🤙

NB: at my place it is also very hot in summer...

I came across a new exhaust option for Rocket 3.

I guess it doesn't fit the R?

I notice the Dominator only works with bike with single o2 sensor. Anyone know which models/yr on rocket 3 that is?
