Am I the only one who loves the factory exhaust pipes?

  • has anyone ran aftermarket headers into a gutted catalytic converter, or some sort of piping that eliminated the converter into the factory mufflers
I build a free flow header that will plug straight into your stock cross over/rear end system.
I can also supply you a free flow cross over pipe to go with this.
The stock Roadster Mufflers have the CATs in the front of them, look up a thread "Skinning the cat"
A member here cut his open and removed the CATs.

I'm not at home at present but when I get home 'll put up some photos of this set up.

That there be My Brutus..... 232hp.
There is no way you could get that horsepower with anything stock. This set up has CES header pipes into Jardine Rumbler twin pipes and a bit load when you give it a good twist of the wrist- Oh and this bike is even BLACKER now - Powder Coated Wheels

Hi

I agree the 3 pipes bikes looked better especially from behind but those pipe are super heavy its almost like having a pillion passenger on the back and of course they do restrict the power from a motor that can easily produce more the later roadster pipes look just plain wrong if you ask me

I like the factory pipes too, especially the 3 pipe systems. I could make more hp with a good single pipe but I like the look and 150hp is enough for me.

I like the looks of the Maddogs myself. They run more parallel with the swingarm and tuck in closer. They also have a very mellow sound. It's a shame they only made one small run of them.
