Alpinestars Boots a no go

I bought a really nice pair of Alpinestars vented summer boots for the Texas heat and won't be able to wear them on the Rocket. First, they wouldn't fit under the shifter. I adjusted the lever height to three different heights and couldn't shift into the higher gears. I returned the shifter back to the lowest height and put my old boots on and she shifted perfectly. Fortunately, the boots work just fine on my Indian bikes. Unless I'm missing something.

Own 2 pairs of Alpinestars boots, had the same trouble but fortunately for me adjustments worked great. I do have smaller feet which might’ve helped…

GT with mid-controls. The problem might be worse with forward controls, not sure

New 2.5L owner, things I hate about the motorcycle.

It is a great motorcycle, otherwise I would not have thrown ~28K USD on it. But not without its faults. Things I strongly dislike about it: - Inability to put on generic grips, there are so many better handlebar grips out there... - Inability to put on floorboards, none are made for this...

My pegs are set all the way back and I do have large feet, size 46. Maybe the combo is a no no.

I have these, laces are tucked in at the top and they are super comfy without the toe bulk that others have.

I had to adjust my shifter for thick boots and it took some finagling before I finally got it. For one thing, I had to rotate the actual shifter lever on the shaft to get what I needed. This may, or may not, be of help...

Shifter Adjustment

An extra step may be required to get the shifter adjusted to your liking. I changed boots and after three attempts (each time thinking I must have gone the wrong way somehow) I finally took the lever off the gear shaft itself and rotated it. Otherewise, I was unable to get the lever above foot...

Yeah...I'm struggling with this too! None of my current riding boots work. I had to wear a pair of sneakers to ride it home from the dealership. It seems the toe-box on all of my boots is too large...it doesn't allow me to fit the boot under the shifter. I'll keep looking for a solution.
